Cheonggyecheon Stream is a stream that crosses Seoul's city center.
It's 10.84 kilometers long, and it's flowing very long.
It runs from Jongno-gu and Jung-gu in Seoul to Wangsimni
In the past, this river was used as a resting place, laundry place, and drinking water source for ordinary people.
It boasts a long history as it has sufficiently functioned as a river in the city center for the past hundreds of years.
During Japanese colonial era, which was the dark period of the Republic of Korea, roads were built over rivers while maintaining rivers.
However, in 2005, after 47 years, Cheonggyecheon reappeared through cover construction.
It is said that more than 11 million visitors visited Cheonggyecheon from October 1, 2005, the opening day, to December 31, 2005.
Cheonggyecheon is now used as a representative resting place in downtown Seoul.
Many foreigners also visit this place through K-ETA.
You can feel the charm of Cheonggyecheon Stream even during the day, but if you stop by here at night, you can feel the strange charm.
